The aim of this module, in environmental reasoning, is to help you understand the basic philosophical building blocks of scientific investigation and moral reasoning. Environmental Ethics as field of inquiry is based upon two critical philosophical concepts, namely; scientific and moral reasoning. It is designed to help you recognize when either or both forms of reasoning are applicable to a situation. This section forms a crucial part of environmental ethics as a  basis for a sound ethical decision making in shaping or reshaping our environment.While engaging with these thought provoking philosophical constructs, it is crucial to bear in mind that Environmental Ethics is one of the important tools of environmental management.
